The Whanganui War Memorial Centre (WWMC) is a wonderful multi-purpose venue nestled in the very heart of the Whanganui CBD. Its versatility allows it to cater for small groups from 10 to 1300 people with free parking for 120 cars. Both foyers benefit from natural light, filtered through beautifully designed, stained glass windows and easy access to all areas of the Centre is provided by the front stairs, lift and rear serviceways. A host of extras including sound systems, specialist lighting, projectors and screens, free Wifi and more, are available for all events.

The Centre opened in 1960 as a ‘living memorial’ for the Wanganui citizens who fought in WW2. Not only is the WWMC historically significant but it is among the top 1000 architectural 'modernistic' buildings in the world and the top 50 in the southern hemisphere.
